The De Constant Rebecque Plein (CRP) project, at the Uniper Power Plant, will make the existing main heat networks in The Hague more sustainable. Eneco will ensure the customer's supply of sustainable heat. The Hague Geothermal Energy wants to achieve this by drilling four holes into the Delft Sandstone between 2300 and 2500 m deep.

Gaia Energy is also active in the Rotterdam region. Gaia Energy is an independent holder of several permits and has a number of exploration permits together with Shell.

Gaia Energy is busy preparing for geothermal energy in the Bommelerwaard region. Currently, research is being carried out into the subsoil and the heat demand is also being analyzed. When the research is successful, a start will be made on developing the geothermal source.

There are plenty of opportunities in the Utrecht region to make an important contribution to making the energy supply more sustainable and thus achieving the climate goals. A planned research drill for EBN's national SCAN program east of the city of Utrecht is interesting for future developments.

The horticultural area in Someren/Asten also wants to become more sustainable. The heat demand in this area is enormous. In Southeast Brabant, we see several options for geothermal energy. Not only the deeper layers could offer potential, the shallower layers are also eligible.

There is an extensive Eneco heat network in the Ypenburg district of The Hague. The plan is to build a geothermal source with heat pumps to provide heat to these homes.

Eight greenhouse companies in Vierpolders (municipality of Brielle, South Holland) have taken the initiative to jointly develop a geothermal project to provide heat to their greenhouses.

The realization of the Geothermal Delft project started in 2022 on the Delft University of Technology campus.

For years, the Amer heat network has been providing many Brabant households, greenhouses and companies with residual heat from the Amer plant in Geertruidenberg. But that is about to change. And of course, the owner and manager of the Amer heat network wants to make the network more sustainable. And geothermal energy plays a major role in this.

A current project is the Sustainable Voorne project, in the municipality of Tinte. At the moment, preparations are being started here to realize a side track drilling. The plan is to implement this in August 2022 and then start geothermal heat production in September 2022.
