Our role as safe geothermal operator
At Gaia Energy, safety is at the heart of everything we do. From the first preliminary studies to the daily practice at our locations: we take responsibility to protect people, the environment and the environment.
A safety culture that goes beyond rules
At Gaia Energy, safety always comes first. Whether it's about our employees, the environment in which we work or the long-term effects of our projects.
For each project, we go through the following steps:
- Risk inventory and safety analysis
- Safety management & organization
- Safe project and well designs
- Environmental safety including environmental and environmental analysis
- Permits and Approvals
- Emergency and incident management (in advance) including an emergency plan
- Long-term effects and aftercare planning
In short: first know the risks → then design safely → then secure permits and emergency plans → only then start. This is how we ensure that every project is developed safely, carefully and in accordance with the law.
Our approach focuses on simplicity, efficiency and cost control. Where possible, we apply a standardized well architecture and optimize performance to get the most out of every bore. We supervise the entire life cycle of each well, with the aim of long-term, reliable uptime — even after the warm waterfront reaches the injected cold waterfront.
