Our HSSEQ Standards form the basis of our way of working and are deeply embedded in our corporate culture. Bij ons staat veiligheid altijd voorop. Of het nu gaat om onze medewerkers, de omgeving waarin we werken of de lange termijneffecten van onze projecten. Voor elk project geldt: eerst risico’s kennen → dan veilig ontwerpen → vervolgens vergunningen en noodplannen borgen → pas daarna starten. Zo zorgen we dat elk project veilig, zorgvuldig en volgens de wet wordt ontwikkeld.
From subsoil to design
Every geothermal project starts with careful preparation. We will start with geological research and identify whether a location is suitable for geothermal energy extraction. We then arrange permits, design the system and coordinate everything with local stakeholders.

Commitment beyond delivery
After the realization of a project, Gaia Energy remains responsible for the management and daily operation of the installation. We provide reliable heat, safe system use and continuous optimization.
- Operation: Daily control and maintenance of the installation on site.
- Monitoring: Constant data monitoring and analysis for optimal performance.
- Delivery: Reliable and stable heat supply to customers such as residential areas, greenhouse horticulture and industry.
Monitoring betekent niet alleen controleren, maar ook optimaliseren. Op basis van verzamelde data verbeteren we voortdurend de efficiëntie en levensduur van de installaties. Zo zorgen we ervoor dat onze geothermieprojecten niet alleen vandaag, maar ook in de toekomst maximale waarde leveren voor bedrijven, gemeenten en bewoners.
From engineering to production: full control of the doublet
Working closely with our Subsurface Team, we develop a sophisticated geothermal well drilling and completion strategy for each project. This process includes:
- Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
- Procurement of long-lead parts
- Selection of qualified service providers
- Implementation of the drill program
- Downhole pump installation
- Transfer of the geothermal doublet to the Production Team
Onze aanpak is gericht op eenvoud, efficiëntie en kostenbeheersing. Waar mogelijk passen we een gestandaardiseerde putarchitectuur toe en optimaliseren we prestaties om het maximale uit elke boring te halen. We begeleiden de volledige levenscyclus van elke put, met als doel een langdurige, betrouwbare inzetbaarheid, ook na het moment dat het warme waterfront het geïnjecteerde koudewaterfront bereikt.
How we work with partners, residents and governments for sustainable energy.
Our partners are governments, often municipalities where a geothermal project is being realized, technical contractors and customers. These customers can be companies, a cooperative or a heat network owned by the municipality or housing association. Sometimes there are citizens' initiatives that are committed to more sustainable energy. With Energiebeheer Nederland (EBN), an important partner in our geothermal projects, we work together to find and extract geothermal energy.
Working with our partners is not only about preparation and implementation, but an important part is also sharing information. We inform stakeholders about the project and discuss with them what that means for them and how we can best work together.
