We are looking for...

If E&I Technician you are partly responsible for the maintenance, repair and optimization of electrical installations, instrumentation and process automation at our geothermal production locations, where ensuring the continuity of the production process is essential. To do this, you work together in a team.

You work with other Gaia Energy employees, in particular with the technical operational coordinators and staff at the site, engineers and other specialists and contracted service parties.
You coordinate content with engineers and other specialists, operationally with technical operational coordinators and employees, Operations & Maintenance Manager and end users/customers. You report to the Operations & Maintenance Manager.

Purpose of the position

• You have a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the geothermal installations.
• You are responsible for:
  • the technically optimal functioning of E&I installations;
  • setting up process instrumentation;
  • providing technical support for maintenance work on E&I instruments and control systems.

This includes:

• preventive maintenance,
• diagnosing faults,
• resolving technical issues,
• (have) replaced or installed parts,
• comply with the health care system.

What are your most important tasks?

• Providing first-line service in case of faults and maintenance on location.
• (Independently) carrying out E&I and control technical maintenance activities, including adjustments to control panels, cabling, instrumentation and the adjustment of frequency controllers, among other things.
• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults.
• Assist with installation and modification work, I/O testing and commissioning.
• Ensuring the continuity and quality of the production process in your field.
• Optimizing work processes.
• Carrying out maintenance and risk analyses safely.
• Proposing innovations.
• Proper application of the QHSE management system (procedures and work instructions).
• Prepare work plans/work instructions.
• Independently organize and supervise maintenance activities in the absence of local operations team members or more complex activities.
• (Having) carried out preventive inspections, functional testing and/or calibration of (critical) instruments and other installation components.

Other activities:

• Collaborate with maintenance engineers, technical coordinators and staff at the location.

What do we ask of you?

• At least 2 years of comparable work experience.
• Completed MBO 4 course in electrical engineering, measurement and control technology and/or process automation.
• STIPEL certified.
• NEN 3140 Skilled Person or higher.
• Relevant knowledge in the field of working with low to high voltage in an industrial environment.
• Stress-resistant in unexpected and hectic circumstances.
• Experience in locating, resolving and analyzing faults.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods and schedules is an advantage, such as:
  • LCC (Life Cycle Cost),
  • FMECA (Failure Mode Effect & Criticality Analysis),
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM),
  • RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
